Our tasting events are the perfect opportunity to explore and sample a carefully curated selection of A. D. Rattray whiskies alongside exceptional guest brands (and a few guest spirits).
Held monthly from March to December in our elegant Tasting Room, each session is led by an expert host who will guide you through every dram and the stories behind them.
Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or just beginning your whisky journey, each session promises discovery, flavour and engaging insight.
Plus your £10 ticket price is redeemable against a purchase of £30 or more on the day.

MAY
Cask Collection No.80 - Tasting Event

Join us in our tasting room and try our latest Cask Collection release. This is the first exclusive chance to try these single cask whiskies before they are available anywhere else.
Take a seat in our tasting room and let your host Max take you through a tasting of 5 single cask whiskies. He will explain the reasons why we selected each cask for this collection, what makes each of these individual casks special and the journey we have taken them on over their years of maturation.
Highlights include a Glenglassaugh 8 Year Old 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel, Craigellachie 16 Year Old Finished in a PX Sherry Barrique and Pulteney 18 Year Old Bourbon Barrel.

Arran & Lagg - Tasting Event

Join us for an whisky tasting experience celebrating the two distinctive distilleries located on the Isle of Arran.
Settle into our tasting room and explore a curated selection of five single malts—three from Arran Distillery in Lochranza and two from Lagg Distillery in the south of the island. Though they share the same island home, these distilleries produce strikingly different styles of whisky.
Arran Distillery is renowned for its elegant, unpeated malts, crafted with a focus on purity, balance, and innovation. In contrast, Lagg Distillery embraces a bold, heavily peated style, echoing the island’s historic tradition of illicit distilling.
Guided by your host Mark, you’ll journey through each dram, discovering how geography, heritage, and craft shape the character of these whiskies. This is a perfect opportunity to experience the diverse range of malts produced on Arran.

Mystery Malts - Tasting Event

Join us for a whisky tasting with a twist. In this unique blind tasting experience, you’ll sample five different whiskies - without knowing what they are. Each bottle will be concealed, leaving you to rely solely on your senses of sight, smell, and taste. No labels, no distillery names, no preconceived ideas - just the whisky in your glass.
As you work your way through each dram, you’ll become a malt detective, trying to uncover clues about origin, style, and character. It’s a fun and engaging way to challenge your palate, test your whisky knowledge, and perhaps discover new favourites you might otherwise have overlooked.
At the end of the session, the bottles will be revealed - will your guesses be correct?

Five Kingdoms Beer & Whisky - Tasting Event

Join us at A D Rattray Whisky Shop for a special “hauf and a hauf” tasting - an exploration of flavour, craft, and tradition in partnership with Five Kingdoms Brewery.
Based on the Isle of Whithorn in Galloway, Five Kingdoms Brewery is known for its characterful range of craft beers, from classic real ales to rich, dark styles and boldly hopped IPAs. Each brew is inspired by something meaningful to the team - whether it’s literature, music, place, or personal experience - giving every beer a story as distinctive as its flavour.
Hosted by Stuart from Five Kingdoms, the event will feature a handpicked selection of four beers, each chosen to showcase a different style, strength, and profile. As you taste, Stuart will share the stories behind the brews and guide you through the key flavours and aromas in each glass.
You will also experience the Scottish tradition of the “hauf and a hauf” - with a dram of A. D. Rattray whisky expertly paired with a beer from Five Kingdoms. This time-honoured combination highlights the contrast and harmony between the two, balancing the depth and complexity of whisky with the refreshing character of beer.

Bladnoch Distillery - Tasting Event

Join us for a special tasting event celebrating the distinctive character of Bladnoch Distillery.
Established in 1817, Bladnoch is one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries and proudly holds the title of the country’s most southerly distillery. Nestled in the heart of Galloway, its whiskies reflect a unique combination of Lowland elegance and bold, modern flavour exploration.
Bladnoch’s approach to whisky-making is driven by creativity and cask innovation. By carefully marrying spirit matured in a variety of cask types, the distillery crafts malts that are rich, expressive, and full of character - each one offering a different perspective on what Lowland whisky can be.
During the event, your host Mark will guide you through a curated tasting of five Bladnoch drams. As you explore each whisky, you’ll discover the distillery’s fascinating history, its revival in recent years, and the inspiration behind every expression poured.
