Cask Collection No.78

We are delighted to present A. D. Rattray’s 78th Cask Collection, our winter release.

Time is written into every bottle – quite literally. Each bear two dates: when the spirit ran from the stills, and when we judged it ready to share. Between those points lies everything that shapes whisky: patience, evolution, and the quiet work of maturation. This is captured, as best we can on paper, by the age of the whisky, and for those casks with a secondary maturation, the time spent in each cask adds its own layer to the story. 

CC78 is built around that idea. Spanning nearly three decades of distillation, these five bottlings reveal how whisky develops over time – deepening, strengthening, softening, or surprising as the years pass. Our role is simply to respect that journey, selecting each cask only when its time has truly come, and letting the spirit speak for itself.
